Wake Tech introduces new interest-free payment plan
Wake Tech is offering a different way for students to pay for tuition

Wake Tech students enrolling for the Spring semester now have the option of a tuition payment plan.

The Community College just rolled out the plan November 7. The plan doesn't add any interest or finance charges to tuition and there is no credit check. The cost of the monthly payment plan is a nonrefundable fee of $25 a semester.

"Students will be able to split their educational cost into four payments depending on when they enroll into the plan," explained John Saparilas, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services.

"It will be manageable and they can manage their educational budget," Saparilas said. "For a full-time 16 hour student plus fees tuition, fees is around $1384.00," Saparilas said.

"If they take advantage of this they can cut the payment to $350 dollars for 4 payments. So, that would be wonderful for them to be able to balance their budget and be able to save," he said.

Wake Tech has set up Automatic Bank Payments that transfers payment from your checking or savings account on the 20th of each month until the balance is paid in full. Students also have a credit card payment option on the 20th of each month. Payments can be made in 4, 3, or 2 installments, depending on when you enroll. The last day to enroll is January 4, 2017.
