Beyond the Tank update
Two Raleigh natives own Frill, a company that caters fashion to sororities

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- It's been a year since two Raleigh natives went before the sharks on ABC's hit show "Shark Tank" and hooked some famous investors to join their company, Frill.

Frill targets sororities and offers trendy, affordable clothes for special events. Tuesday night the owners, Sharon Bui and Kate Stedman, will be back in the national spotlight in ABC's "Beyond the Tank." The show will give an update on what they've done with their opportunity.

Last March, two of the sharks invested $100,000 in their company.

"It's kind of scary, honestly, we started with $350 in our bank accounts," Bui said. "We come from really humble beginnings."

The two women threw a party to celebrate their success and invited one of the sharks, Mister Wonderful, Kevin O'Leary.

O'Leary said he wants to make sure his new business partners are handling the success from the show.

"Beyond the Tank" will show how the women handle the demands of a growing niche business. O'Leary says they need to stay focused on building relationships with sororities, shipping products, and customer service.

The show airs at 10 p.m. on ABC11.
