RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Kids from across North Carolina are slipping on their ballet and tap shoes for a five day run of Billy Elliott at the Duke Energy Center For the Performing Arts in Downtown Raleigh.
Sixteen-year-old Sam Faulkner takes on the intense dancing role of young Billy Elliott. It's a role Faulkner says is physically exhausting, but he would not trade it for the world. This has actually been his dream role since he saw the show at age 11. The story follows Billy Elliott as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising talent that inspires his family and his whole community, changing his life forever.
The shows runs through February 15 and there are tickets still available. Click here for show times and ticket info: http://www.dukeenergycenterraleigh.com/event/billy-elliot-5181
