BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Entertainer Ray J was charged with trespassing, vandalism, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer after a confrontation with security at a Beverly Hills hotel.

He posted $20,000 bail Saturday. His court date was scheduled for July 25.

Officers responded to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel at about 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 9500 block of Wilshire Boulevard about a sexual battery at the bar.

Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., was accused of grabbing a woman's buttocks. Authorities, however, determined that the contact was incidental.

Ray J agreed to leave the hotel, but later became "belligerent" with the valets and refused to leave, authorities said. Hotel security placed him under a private persons arrest, police said.

Beverly Hills police then took Ray J into custody and put him in the back of their car, where he proceeded to kick and shatter the window. When police tried to restrain his feet, Ray J spat into the face of one of the officers, police said.
