1. Lorde at Red Hat Amphitheater Thursday | Starting at $39.50
New Zealand sensation and two-time Grammy-winner Lorde will bring her infections sounds to the stage as she promotes her debut album, "Pure Heroine." Details

2. Classic Fords on tour Sunday
The local branch of the Model A Restorers' Club will be driving its beautifully restored cars through the streets of Durham, Kinston, Tarboro, and other towns on Sunday. Swing by the Hilton Garden Inn in Cary around 5 p.m. to take a closer look. Details

2. North Carolina Symphony All weekend | Starting at $18
It's opening weekend for the North Carolina Symphony so get ready for saxophonist Branford Marsalis and conductor Grant Llewellyn. Thursday's show is at Memorial Hall in Chapel Hill at 7:30; Friday and Saturday shows are at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh, 8 p.m. Details

4. Apex Jazz Festival Saturday | $10
The 4th Annual Apex Jazz and Music Festival is Saturday in downtown Apex! Look for great jazz and blues, along with a beer and wine garden plus food trucks! Wristbands are $10 and you must be 21 to enter the beer and wine garden. Things get started at 3:30. Details

5. Dirty Dancing at DPAC All weekend | Prices vary
The stage version of the classic movie "Dirty Dancing" comes to DPAC this weekend, featuring heart-pounding music, romance and, of course, great dancing. Details

And of course, ABC11 is a proud sponsor of La Fiesta del Pueblo, a free festival happening on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh this Sunday, 12-7 p.m. Here's a glimpse of what's in store:
