Motorcyclist killed in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A motorcyclist was killed in Fayetteville Wednesday morning.

It happened around 9:45 a.m. on Hope Mills Road. Police said 29-year-old Justin Mackerricher Roberts lost control and crashed through a fence into the Flooring America building.

Captain Jay Devane with the Fayetteville Police Department told ABC11 that Roberts was traveling at a high rate of speed and passing other motorists in the center turn lane.

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department's Traffic Unit are investigating the crash.
