Fayetteville Police investigate string of gas station armed robberies

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating a string of late-Saturday night gas station armed robberies -- all of which are believed to be related.

Authorities said the robberies happened somewhere between the hours of 10:35 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.

Officers said a suspect(s) robbed three businesses all of which are within 10 minutes of one another: a Family Fare, at 3215 Raeford Road, a Speedway, located at 3706 Raeford Road and the last at a Circle K, located at 1300 Hope Mills Road.

In each robbery, the suspect(s) walked behind the counter and revealed a black revolver and demanded money.

The Fayetteville Police Department identified the suspect(s) as:

  • Man standing somewhere between 5-feet 6-inches to 5-feet 8-inches and weighs 160 to 170 pounds, wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and a black face mask.
  • Man -- late 20s early 30s -- standing somewhere between 5-feet 5-inches to 5-feet 7-inches and weighs 140-150 pounds, wearing a purple hoodie, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes and wore a face mask.
  • Man standing somewhere between 5-feet 9-inches and 5-feet 10-inches, wearing a white hoodie with gray lettering, blue jeans, white shoes and blue cloth type gloves.

There were no reported injuries in the robberies.

On Monday, police released an image of the vehicle believed to be involved in the robberies.
