FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are searching for the driver who fatally hit a pedestrian, and then fled the scene early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 2:10 a.m. in the 6800 block of Raeford Road, near 71st School Road.
Authorities said the pedestrian was struck by a 1997 green Ford Ranger with North Carolina registration BJP-1906.
The collision caused the victim to be thrown about 50 feet. His name is being withheld until the family notification process has been completed.
