Action-packed things to do for free this August
August brings National Bowling Day, and that means AMF Bowling locations across the country will be hosting free games on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon and again from 8 p.m. to close.

The Redskins Football team also hits their three week training camp at The Bon Secours Training Center in Richmond, VA . Practices are free and open to the public. There are also some special giveaways and events for children.

For golfers, Hillandale Golf Course in Durham is allowing kids to play free with a paying adult for the entire month of August.
Hillandale is also offering Family Fun Fridays. After 6 p.m. on Fridays, a family of 5 can golf for $35. The price includes two carts.
