Cary thrift stole offering huge sale
Thrift 2 Gift in Cary is holding a Dollar Days sale this weekend

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Thrift 2 Gift in Cary will host a 'Dollar Days' sale from Thursday to Saturday, selling all clothing, shoes, and accessories for one dollar each.

The sale happens twice a year, and Thrift 2 Gift co-founder George King says their summer sale is always the biggest.

"We believe there are lots of people that are in our community that can't pay even the prices we have, and they're low already," King said. "But, you couldn't imagine what people walk out of here with on dollar days."

Thrift 2 Gift runs on donations. Profits from sales, including Dollar Days, are donated to local non-profits, especially those that provide for families in crisis.

"We have funded over $40,000 in cash and in-kind services," King explained. "So, we feel pretty good about that. Our philosophy is, we get a ton of donations, generous donations and we can sell them for very low price because we do get them for free. And, on these kind of days, we can gift back a lot of money to organizations that need the money."

Thrift 2 Gift is located on Chatham Street in Cary near the WakeMed Soccer Park. The Dollar Days Sale runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
