Wednesday morning fire damages Fayetteville home

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Firefighters were called to a burning Fayetteville home just before 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 2500 block of Spring Valley Road in Vanstory Hills.

Heavy smoke and fire was coming from the roof when emergency crews arrived.

They quickly got the blaze under control.

Callers told 911 operators they believed the home was being renovated and not occupied when the fire broke out.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
