Raleigh man charged with rape, burglary in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- EDITORS NOTE: In 2018, Jose Gabriel Estrella was found not guilty of second-degree forcible rape. He was found guilty of misdemeanor breaking or entering.

Detectives arrested a Raleigh man on Friday for a sexual assault that happened in Greenville, N.C.

Jose Gabriel Estrella, 21, is charged with second-degree rape and first-degree burglary for the Feb. 20 assault.

The Greenville Police Department said the assault happened at a home near 5th Street and Elizabeth Street.

Estrella, of Mountain Mist Court in Raleigh, is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.
