HARNETT COUNTY (WTVD) -- A teenager was taken to UNC Hospital by helicopter after a bad crash in Harnett County.

Highway Patrol says it happened on Highway 24/27 Sunday afternoon near the Moore County line.

According to authorities, 18-year-old Andrew Barbee ran off the road and hit several trees before his car overturned. He was still strapped in and hanging from the seatbelt when rescue crews arrived.

Barbee had a head injury but is stable, officials said.

Troopers are still trying to figure out what caused the crash but have ruled out alcohol and speed.
