Violent head-on collision closes road in Durham County

DURHAM COUNTY (WTVD) -- Emergency crews responded to a violent crash in Durham County on Saturday.

Our crew on the scene said it appeared a Jeep and Nissan pickup truck slammed into one another head-on.

The accident happened on US-70 at Pleasant Drive. The road was shut down for several hours, but reopened later Saturday night.

Highway Patrol has not said if anyone was hurt.
