Raleigh woman charged in fatal 2015 crash pleads guilty

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Raleigh woman accused of driving drunk and killing a man pleaded guilty Wednesday.

Latisha Dixon, 35, was charged with second-degree murder for the crash that killed 22-year-old Terrance Smallwood.

Police said Dixon was driving on New Hope Road on March 8, 2015 when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car driven by Smallwood.

Smallwood died from his injuries.

Dixon was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 13 years. She was given credit for 20 months served.
