Hit and run: car hits child on bike in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A child riding a bike was hit by a car in an apparent hit-and-run in Durham.

Our crew on the scene said the car never stopped after it struck the child.

It happened near Briggs Avenue near Hart Street.

The child was taken to Duke Hospital. Authorities said the 8-year-old boy did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
