The day could soon come where a computer appraises your home instead of a human.
Federal regulators proposed changes to when a home must be assessed by a licensed appraiser, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The regulators say allowing computers to do some of the more straightforward assessing will cost less and speed things up. Currently, automated appraisals are unregulated, but that could also change if the proposals move ahead.
