RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are still searching for the suspect involved in a home invasion robbery at a hotel on S. Saunders Street on Sunday, but authorities have arrested two people on accessory charges in connection with the crime.

The robbery happened at the Super 8 Hotel around 3:30 p.m.

The suspect was armed, according to authorities.

A short time later, a pickup truck possibly linked to the robbery was seen leaving the area and an officer tried to catch up with it.

The truck was found abandoned on Seagrams Court in the Forest Edge Townhomes community, but police were able to detain 43-year-old Brian Keith Polimeda and 24-year-old Jamie Renee Little not far from the vehicle.

Both were charged late Sunday night with accessory after the fact. The robbery suspect has not yet been located.

The suspect was described as a black man with a stocky build who stands around 5 feet 6 inches tall. He had some facial hair, police said, and was wearing a plaid shirt and a brown or tan jacket.

Meantime, residents in the Forest Edge Townhomes community said they were shocked to come home to find dozens of police officers, many with guns drawn.

"Things can happen anywhere but nothing like this has happened in a long time over here," said Sherry Neal, who said she's lived in this community for 20 years.

Raleigh police officers cleared the scene in Neal's neighborhood about three hours after finding the abandoned pickup truck.
