Woman killed in Wake County house fire

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Firefighters said an elderly woman died in a house fire late Wednesday night in the 3400-block of Benson Road, which is south of Garner.

The victim was identified as 88-year-old Ida McCoy. Her family said she lived in that house for more than 40 years.

Investigators are still working to find out what sparked the flames.
