I-40 in Wake County preparing for some weekend closures

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- There's a traffic alert for drivers in Wake County as I-40 conducts some weekend closures.

The Department of Transportation closed the Gorman Street ramp onto the I-40 west. Officials also closed the right lane of I-40 where the ramp merges onto the interstate.

The ramp is expected to reopen in time for Monday morning's commute.
