Overturned tractor-trailer closes lanes on I-40 east in Orange County

An overturned tractor-trailer on I-40 east in Orange County near Hillsborough caused a traffic headache for weekend drivers on Saturday afternoon.

The right lane was closed near exit 263 (New Hope Church Road) for several hours.

Once the truck was back upright, Highway Patrol shut down the highway in 15-20 minute increments so the scene could be cleared.

It is unknown what caused the wreck or if there were any injuries.
