Krispy Kreme brings back gingerbread glazed doughnut

It's Krispy Kreme's effort to save the lives of gingerbread people everywhere.

Starting Wednesday, Krispy Kreme is serving up their popular gingerbread glazed doughnuts. Sheral Allen told ABC11 she just couldn't resist.

"They were advertising it on TV and I thought, 'I like gingerbread' so let me try it. And like I said, I'm a diabetic but I'm thinking, 'I gotta try this,' said Allen.

The sweet holiday treat is made with spiced gingerbread dough with hints of cinnamon and covered with a warm gingerbread molasses glaze.

The seasonal doughnut will only be available through Christmas Eve.
