"Out! Raleigh" is Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fayetteville St.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- If you've been on Fayetteville St. over the past few days you've probably seen the colorful banners up for "Out! Raleigh."

This is the annual downtown festival organized by the LGBT Center of Raleigh. "Out! Raleigh" is Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fayetteville St. The executive director of the LGBT Center of Raleigh, James Miller, says he expects this year to be the biggest festival in its 5-year history with about 30,000 people attending.

The theme this year is "A Better Tomorrow, Today," and is meant to celebrate gains in the LGBT community and how that will impact the future. "Out! Raleigh" will have dozens of vendors, entertainment and food trucks. It's a free, family oriented event.
