Log truck overturns on Halifax County bridge

HALIFAX COUNTY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A log truck overturned Wednesday afternoon, spilling its cargo into the creek below.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m. at Medoc Mountain Road near Macon Road in Halifax County.

Diesel fuel was reportedly leaking from the vehicle and Haz-Mat crews were on the scene.

The Highway Patrol was investigating reports of possible injuries.
