Must-See Videos: Police chase races through city streets
Los Angeles police chased three burglary suspects Monday.

POLICE CHASE

Three residential burglary suspects were taken into custody after leading police on a high-speed chase through freeways and surface streets in Los Angeles Monday.

The incident started with a home burglary in Hacienda Heights shortly after 6 p.m. Authorities chased the suspects in a red getaway car, which sped down the westbound 60 Freeway, authorities said.

Police ended up chasing the suspects through residential streets and neighborhoods. At one point, the driver clipped a car and items were thrown out of the windows by passengers in the backseat.

Two of the suspects were quickly taken into custody. The third suspect was later taken into custody, California Highway Patrol officials said.

PIPE RESCUE

A man has been rescued after getting stuck for four days in a Nashville storm drain.

Firefighters dug into the ground and broke into a concrete pipe to free the unidentified man Sunday.

Firefighters were called to the scene after another man heard the victim calling for help.

It wasn't immediately clear how the man got into the drain, but an assistant chief with the Nashville Fire Department says he had crawled in somewhere along Charlotte Avenue last Thursday.

The man got stuck in a bend in the narrow drain pipe, which ran next to the Centennial Sportsplex's tennis courts.

He suffered cuts to his body and appeared dehydrated. Once freed, he was immediately given oxygen and taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.

LOUISIANA FLOODING

In Shreveport, the National Weather Service says record rain caused plenty of flooding.

Residents had to wade through ankle to knee-high water Monday after more than 4 inches of rain fell.

Several homes and vehicles were flooded out, but no one was hurt.

MOUNTAIN LION CAPTURED

In San Mateo, California, police have captured a mountain lion that was stalking a neighborhood.

A game warden was called in to tranquilize the cat, and then officers were able to drag the sleeping animal into a truck where he was taken to a safer area and released.
