Man arrested for attempted murder in Chapel Hill shooting

CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- On Thursday, members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina arrested a man in connection with a Chapel Hill shooting.

Authorities believe 27-year-old Cordell Baldwin is responsible for a May shooting at an apartment complex on South Estes Drive that sent one person to the hospital.

He is charged with felony count of attempted first-degree murder, felony count of assault with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Baldwin is being held in the Orange County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
