Man shot outside Durham apartments

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man was shot in the legs/buttocks area Wednesday night in Durham.

It happened outside the Murdoch Place Apartments on Gray Avenue.

A couple of stray bullets went into an apartment where children were present, Durham Police said, but no one was struck by the stray bullets.

The gunshot victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police continue to look for a suspect who fled on foot.
