News and Observer: Rural hospital closures strand many in need

The News and Observer reports a North Carolina mayor walked all the way to Washington to talk about the closure of rural hospitals in the state. Belhaven Mayor Adam O'Neal says big hospital companies are putting profits over people's health, and elected NC officials have refused federal funding to expand Medicaid that would pay the bills of poor people.
