Sexual assault suspect arrested in Halifax County

HALIFAX COUNTY (WTVD) -- A Halifax County man was arrested for sexual assault and authorities said one of his victims was a juvenile.

The sheriff's office arrested 39-year-old Michael Crawford on Friday.

The case started when two victims came forward about the alleged assault.

Authorities said the incidents happened over a five-year period.

Crawford has been charged with indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery.
