Missing Wendell man found

WENDELL, NC (WTVD) -- Multiple law enforcement agencies searched by land and by air for a missing 75-year-old man in eastern Wake County, who was found safe Tuesday morning.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office said Cornelius Hubert Yorker walked away from his home on Linnet Road in Wendell on Monday night.

Yorker has Alzheimer's disease and dementia, authorities said.

Authorities said around 9 a.m. Yorker was found and is being checked out by EMS.
