Teens hurt in Moore County crash

SOUTHERN PINES, NC (WTVD) -- Two teens are hurt - one seriously - after a crash in Moore County Friday night.

Investigators said a 16-year-old driver lost control on Murdocksville Rd. near Hardee Branch north of Southern Pines.

The vehicle hit a tree. The 16-year-old suffered serious injuries and was flown to Chapel Hill for treatment. His 15-year-old passenger was also flown. Her injuries are said not to be life-threatening.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
