Man on moped hit by car in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man on a moped was hit by a car in Durham on Tuesday night.

It happened on Alston Avenue near the Durham Freeway at the BP gas station.

Our crew on the scene said it didn't appear the victim was wearing a helmet.

He was rushed to the hospital.

It is not yet clear what the victim's condition is or if any charges will be filed.
