2 dead in Christmas murder suicide near Sanford

SANFORD, NC (WTVD) -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office says two people are dead in a murder suicide that happened on Christmas.

Deputies were called to a home in the 5000 block of Valley View Drive just outside Sanford around 3:30 a.m.

Investigators said the daughter of 39-year-old Maria Sanchez and 61-year-old Erick Sanchez came home to find them both dead.
