Must-see video: Perseid meteor shower

A photo of the Perseid meteor shower is going viral, and we should be able to see the impressive celestial event here this week.

Todd Morgan, an American expatriate living in Europe, shared the image of the Perseid meteor shower in the Czech Republic after it was taken close to the border with Poland.

The annual meteor shower is through Aug. 26, but the peak is Wednesday night and Thursday.

Says any time after 11 p.m. should be a great time to check out Perseid meteor shower. It is also the first time with a new moon (darker sky) since 2007.
