NC 55 near Riddle Road back open after crash involving tractor-trailer

The southbound lanes of NC 55 are back open after a crash involving a tractor-trailer.

The crash happened in the area of Whilden Drive and Riddle Road.

Police said a southbound tractor-trailer was waiting to turn when it was hit by a Honda Civic.

The driver of the Honda Civic was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
