State Fair gun ban challenged
The State Senate proposed a bill Friday that would challenge the Fair's current ban on concealed weapons.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A bill filed in the State Senate would let people carry concealed weapons at the fair but not on the rides.

Last year, gun rights groups tried to overturn the gun ban.

However, a Wake County judge refused to issue a temporary order to prevent state AG officials from banning guns.

Agriculture commissioner Steve Troxler has previously said he supports the gun ban.
