Police searching for suspect in attempted robbery on NC State's campus

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Authorities in Raleigh are searching for a second suspect involved in an attempted robbery on North Carolina State University's campus on Thursday night.



It happened around 9 p.m. on Fraternity Court.



A NC State student told police two men assaulted him as they tried to take his cell phone. He only suffered minor injuries during the altercation.



The student said the suspects implied they had a weapon, but never showed one.



NCSU campus police were able to apprehended one suspect, but the other suspect is still on the loose.



The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man wearing a hoodie, athletic shorts and tennis shoes. He was last seen fleeing towards Varsity Drive on foot from Fraternity Court.
