1 killed, 1 seriously injured in Fayetteville traffic wreck
One person was killed and one seriously injured when two cars collided Monday afternoon on Pamalee Drive in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville police said a silver Honda Accord traveling on Pamalee from Murchison Road entered into oncoming traffic about 1:30 p.m. and crashed into a silver Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Accord was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the deceased driver as Kgositsile Johnson, 48 of Carlton Place, Fayetteville. The driver of the Sonata, Kateria Charelle Poe, 27, of Stone Carriage Circle, Fayetteville, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Poe is listed in critical condition.
