Fayetteville police searching for robber seen in pictures
FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Police Department is looking for an armed robber seen in surveillance photos.
Investigators said the robbery happened at the Short Stop Food Mart at 1960 Cedar Creek Road on Friday morning.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a man entered the business around midnight, approached the cashier with a semi-automatic style pistol, and demanded money.
Police say the man was wearing a camouflage jacket with a hood, blue jeans, a "skull-type" mask covering his face, and gloves on both hands. He was described as having a country accent.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
