Buildings evacuated on NC State campus due to gas leak

Three buildings were evacuated on North Carolina State University's campus due to gas leak. (Chopper11 HD)

Three buildings were evacuated on North Carolina State University's campus Monday due to a gas leak.

It happened around noon in the area of Main Campus Drive and Varsity Drive on Centennial Campus in Raleigh.

No injuries were reported, but the Lexis-Nexis, Keystone Science, Partners III buildings were evacuated as a precaution.

The building were reopened about an hour later.

Images from Chopper11 HD showed a construction crew in the area, but it was unclear if that was the cause of the leak.

Further details surrounding the incident have not been released.
