Cafeteria manager served Christmas surprise with a brand new car

The intercom at San Jacinto Elementary calmly asked for all staff to report to the front of the school Friday after the kids got out.

It wasn't for a meeting. All the faculty, staff and administrators scurried outside to give a Christmas gift to one of their most beloved coworkers.

Cafeteria Manager Betty Wilson was left breathless by the surprise that awaited her outside - her coworkers singing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" and her new car.



"I never expected this - never in a million years," Wilson said. "I know I'm blessed to be here. The child nutrition staff is fantastic; the staff at this school is amazing.
