Moore County man arrested in sexual assault of family member

The Moore County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in the sexual assault of a family member.

Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced the arrest of Brandon Paul King, age 33, on one count of felony sex offense by a person in a parental role and one count of felony incest.

Sheriff's deputies interviewed an 18 year old woman on Nov. 10 who alleged that King had sexually assaulted her.

King was arrested Wednesday and is being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 26.
