Law officers seek hit-and-run driver in Moore Co death

CARTHAGE (WTVD) -- The State Highway Patrol is seeking help finding a driver involved in a deadly hit and run Friday in Moore County.

It happened on Putman Church Road in Carthage just before midnight. A pedestrian was lying on the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the unidentified vehicle left the scene.

The victim was identified as Matthew Tyler Phillips, 24, of the 100 block of E. White Drive in Archdale.
