Moore County woman charged in toddler son's drowning death
CARTHAGE (WTVD) -- Samantha Nacole Bryant, 30, of Carthage was arrested Wednesday by Moore County deputies in connection with the drowning death of her 23-month-old son, Rylan Ott.
Bryant was indicted by a Moore County Grand Jury for involuntary manslaughter and felony child neglect.

She was placed in Moore County Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond.

Rylan was reported missing the afternoon of April 15. After a search that involved multiple agencies, he was found in a pond near Carthage that day.
Rylan was taken to Moore Regional Hospital, where he died.
Bryant's first court appearance is scheduled for May 31 in Moore County Superior Court in Carthage.
