Person hurt when shots fired into Chapel Hill home

CHAPEL HILL, NC (WTVD) -- Police say a person was hurt early Monday when someone fired a gun into a Chapel Hill home.

It happened around 3:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Forsyth Drive.

Investigators said a person was hit by a bullet and the shooter fled the area.

The wounded person - who police have not identified - was taken to UNC hospital where their condition was not available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
