Durham County deputy crashes into cyclist

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Officials say a Durham County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in an accident with a cyclist Friday afternoon off South Roxboro Street.

Around 5 p.m., authorities say a deputy was trying to exit the parking deck next to the Durham County Courthouse when the deputy crashed into a cyclist.

The cyclist was taken to the hospital but did not appear to have life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
