Silver Alert issued for missing Lee County man

LEE COUNTY (WTVD) -- A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Lee County man.

Residents are being asked to be on the lookout for 81-year-old Billy "Bill" Van Stanley. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Stanley is described as a white man with short gray hair and brown eyes. He is about 5'10" and weighs around 200 pounds.

The 81-year-old was last seen wearing a white golf shirt, gray shorts, black tennis shoes, white socks, a gold wedding band, and a gold watch.

Stanley was driving his gray 2013 Hyundai GLS, with North Carolina License plate BMN-3700, when he was last seen on Quail Ridge Drive heading to US-1 north toward Chatham County.
