FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- Rest easy folks, Bob is safe!

When flood water from Hurricane Matthew inundated his stall at Cumberland County Animal Control, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Swift Water Rescue Team raced to save the horse before he drowned.

It's just the latest problem Bob has faced in his life, which officials said has not been good.

Rescuers managed to lead Bob through deeper water and then to higher ground. He was then loaded onto a trailer and moved to a temporary new home.
