City of Fayetteville SUV involved in crash, 2 injured

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Two people were sent to the hospital Monday after a crash involving an SUV registered to the City of Fayetteville.

Officials said it happened around 7:20 p.m. on Fisher Road at the Lakewood Driver intersection.

The SUV being driven by a Fayetteville Police Department civilian employee crashed with a Toyota Yaris. Both drivers were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and were listed in fair condition, officials said.

Police are investigating. No word yet on the drivers' identities.
