16-year-old boy killed in hunting accident
Authorities say a 16-year-old boy has died after a hunting accident.

TULARE COUNTY. -- The accident took place around the Horse Meadow area of the Sequoia National Forest around seven Sunday morning.

Tulare County sheriff's deputies in California say the teen was walking in front of some other hunters when one of them fired a shot that struck him in the torso.

The boy was rushed to a ranger station for help, but died from his injury.

No arrests have been made, but the sheriff's office and the California Department of Fish and Game are still investigating.
